Semi Finals



Today, the two most important match of the tournament were played at Bal Bhavan Cricket Ground. Everyone was excited to know who will qualify for the Finals which will be played on Saturday. The first match was between Muni International & Vidya Jain, Rohini. Munis won the toss & decided to bat first. Munis lost their first wicket on the first ball of the match. The in-form batsman Vivek Kumar was caught by Harshit on a short ball by Tushar. Then Skipper Gaurav Rana 22 (4sx4) with Sarvesh advanced the score-board to 20 runs and then Sarvesh was sent back to the pavillion by Tushar. Then Munis started losing wickets regularly. Very soon they were 68/8 but Nitin 'The Saviour' came & scored 25* (4sx3, 6sx1) which helped them to put the target of 97 runs. Tushar, Manan & Rishi Rawat took 2 wickets each. Manan Bhardwaj had an awesome spell of 4-2-2-2 (O-M-R-W). Vidya Jain has a slow & steady start. After 8.1 overs, they were 30/2. The match was so interesting but Rooshal Saini was playing very well and scored unbeaten 42 off 48 balls with the help of 7 boundaries. Vidya Jain won the match in 18.1 overs by 6 wickets. Vidya Jain has entered the Finals with this victory. Rushal Saini was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 42* & a wicket.



In an another big match, Bal Bhavan Blue beat St. Mary's, Dwarka by 43 runs. Blues won the toss & elected to bat first. Skipper Akash Nayak was looking in a great touch as smashed 2 thrilling boundaries but was caught behind at the score of 8. Then Yash Dhull & Arpit Rana had a good partnership of 64 runs. Arpit Rana scored 19 runs. Then Shubham Bisht 23 (4sx3) off 22 balls & Yash Dhull together put some runs on the board. Yash Dhull played brilliant innings for his team & scored 74 runs (4sx10, 6sx1) off 60 balls. Blues set the target of 162 runs. St. Mary's got very strong start. The match was completely n their side before the best fielder of Blues took a cath of Ujjwal Chauhan 18 (4sx1). Then Kevin Sunny 8(4sx1) came in and tried to help his captain but Yash Sehrawat struck again & took his second wicket. Then Shubham Bisht sent back Milind Kumar on Duck which turned the game a little towards Blues. But Skipper Hritik Sharma was playing brilliantly from one end but he was run out by a brilliant direct hit by Blues Skipper Akash Nayak. After that St. Mary's were in pressure and the game was going in the favour of Bal Bhavan Blue. Then tournament top wicket-taker Ishan Singh (3.5-0-15-4) did his work by taking 4 wickets. St. Mary's were all out on 118. Blue won the match by 43 runs & entered the Finals for the 5th time in B.K.Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament. Yash Dhull was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant batting.
