Introduction
This cricket tournament is organised by Bal Bhavan International School, Dwarka, New Delhi, in the memory of Sh. B. K. Gupta, one of the founder members of Bal Bhavan International School to motivate students and provide a platform to realize excellence in sports.
The love for sports always drove Sh. B. K. Gupta to go an extra mile and do all that it takes to encourage sports activities in the delhi region. He dealt with media and the institutions not only organize tournaments, sports days but also support budding sports professional and students in making a career in sports. Today, his ideas regarding. The development of sportsman’s still thrive in our minds and is visible in our actions to promote sportsmanship. This tournament is one such modest step to take his ideas further and realize his dreams. Sh. B. K. Gupta believed that sports have an important role in the personality development of a human being, society and institutions which must contribute towards the development of sports among youth. Such competitions not only inspire them to develop high levels of physical fitness but also test team spirit, confidence, decision making and mental strength.
This tournament will give a chance to some of the young cricketers in the city to be a part of this challenge and show competency in the nations most favoured sport. After all, the winning team will be “only one”. Extensive media coverage will boost the morale of the participants and create a lifetime memory for years to come.
