It was a very big day for both the teams. Vidya Jain Public School, Rohini, the team who won all the matches in this tournament & Bal Bhavan Blues, Dwarka, the Champions from last three years. The match started at 10:30 am. Vidya Jain won the toss & elected to bat first. The in-form batsman Rushal Saini 7 (4sx1) & Varun Yadav 8 (4sx1) lost their wicket very early. But Aryan Kumar accompanied his captain in such a very important match. Aryan Kumar 35 (4sx2, 6sx2) & skipper Mayank Gusain 102 (4sx11, 6sx6) had a partnership of 79 runs. Mayank Gusain was run out by a wonderful throw of Ishan Singh. Then Harshit Tushir hit 17 off 7 balls with the help of 2 sixes. Vidya Jain scored 181/4 in 20 overs. Shubham Bisht 4-1-21-1 bowled well. It was a big target to achieve but Blues were so strong. Blues lost their first wicket very early, but then Akash Nayak & Nikhil Sharma turned the game towards Blues and gave some hope. But Skipper Akash Nayak 27 (4sx6) was bowled on an in-swing by Prabhjot Singh which turned the game again towards Vidya Jain. Then Yash Dhull the in-form batsman for Blues smashed some boundaries in all the directions & scored 48 (4sx7, 6sx1). The game was in 50-50 situation now, but Blues lost their 4th wicket and game turned a little towards Vidya Jain. But Ishan Singh 23 (4sx4) & Shubham Bisht 25 (4sx3, 6sx1) played wonderful innings in the end which turned the game 80% on Blues side. Manan Bhardwaj, one of the best bowlers of the tournament was called for the final over. Blues needed 14 in that over. But Manan Turned the game again & confirmed the victory for Vidya Jain. Vidya Jain won by 8 runs & became the Champions of the 5th B.K.Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament. Ankit Yadav 4-0-19-1, Manan Bhardwaj 4-0-28-3 & Rishi Rawat 4-0-40-3 bowled well and helped their team to win the tournament. Man of the Match wsa given to Mayank Gusain for a wonderful century.
